The district of Üsküdar (on the Asian side) is a popular Sunday destination for the locals, who flock to its riverside cafes to admire the wonderful views of Topkapi and Sultanahmet. Even though the district is far from being the most Muslim of Istanbul, its mosques are a major tourist magnet.
