Grindavík's main attraction is dedicated to fishing in Iceland. The Icelandic Saltfish Museum has a small exhibition that focuses on the cod salting and drying industry in particular. Wax figures, films, photos and artefacts help visitors to understand the evolution of working conditions and fishing techniques in the industry, as well as the economic importance of cod exportation for Iceland.
