Three entire palazzi are dedicated to this museum. Palazzo Bianco houses the region's foremost art gallery, tracing the Genoese, Italian, Spanish and Flemish art scene from the 16C to 18C. Palazzo Rosso exhibits Italian paintings from the 15C to 17C, as well as some remarkable portraits by Van Dyck. Palazzo Tursi is home to Paganini's famous violin, Il Cannone, as well as decorative art and works from the 18C, plus the collection of official coins, weights and measures of the Republic of Genoa.
