The Caoling Trail, which winds its way towards Dali train station over a distance of some 10km, used to belong to a network of roads linking Danshui to the Yilan Plain. The trail brings you to a temple, protective steles and, best of all, to magnificent viewpoints looking over the countryside and Pacific Ocean.
