Interesting archaeological remains from the Roman period have been unearthed in this area. These are thermal baths from the 1C and the vestiges of an important villa. There is also an open-air museum, the Museo Abierto de Fuengirola, with murals by famous artists such as Sempere, Rafael Peinado and Elena Asins.
