The life of indigenous native tribes and pioneers in the face of the hardships of the high plains is well documented here through, among other exhibits, the partial reconstruction of a fort, the Museum of the Northern Great Plains, the Museum of the Upper Missouri and the Starr Gallery of Western Art, which highlights the works of Karl Bodmer and the sculptures of Bob Scriver.
