Originally built in the 10C, the medieval castle bears the stamp of the flamboyant Gaston de Foix, known as Gaston Fébus (1331-1391). The tour (allow 3-4hr with the workshops) offers an amusing and immersive insight into the castle and the family of the counts of Foix. It features a museum laid out on several levels in the former Governors' Palace. Splendid view from the terraces of the two towers.
