Paulin Ratier (1875-1939) made an important contribution to France by becoming a major player in aeronautical construction. The small museum charts the history of this cabinetmaker from Cantal, who started manufacturing propellers and founded a production site in Figeac that would later become the Ratier Figeac factory – now under American control, this jewel in the region's crown still employs nearly 1,500 people.
