The Redwood Forest Steam Train, leaves from the former logging camp (Roaring Camp), named after its high-spirited inhabitants, penetrating deep into the forest of ancient (several thousand years old) redwoods before arriving near the summit of Bear Mountain (75min round-trip). The Santa Cruz Beach Train links Roaring Camp to Santa Cruz Boardwalk and chugs along the oldest railway track in California in working order (allow 3hr).
