The path, which departs from Echternach bus station, follows Mullerthal Trail Route 2. It climbs to the pavilion of the Trooskneppchen belvedere. Follow the signs through beech woods to the wolf gorge. At its entrance stands a large pointed rock nicknamed Cleopatra's needle. A staircase negotiates this impressive crevasse, dropping between two 50m-high rock faces. On exiting, steps lead to view points from where there is a fine view of the River Sûre.
