Almost entirely destroyed at the end of the Second World War, this Renaissance-style palace, the former home of the Court, houses the famous Green Vault, the treasure chamber of the Dukes of Saxony, which includes a collection of engravings, the Turkish chamber and a collection of coins. The outer façade linking the west wing with the Johanneum (home to the transport museum) is adorned with a huge mosaic representing the Procession of Princes of the House of Wettin. Enjoy fine views of the city and the Elbe from the top of the clock tower.
