This old quarter surrounding the old Palace of the Dukes has kept much of its original charm. Strolling around its streets, many pedestrianised, you come across freestone mansions and numerous 15C and 16C timber-framed houses. What remains of the Palace of the Dukes is incorporated into the Classical-style buildings of the Palace of the Estates of Burgundy.
