The 18C houses at nos 40, 42 and 44 still have their original balconies. At no 69, the Reformed church occupies the site of the former chapel of the Carmelite convent dating from 1645. At no 99 is a plaque announcing that Abbot Guibert (1697-1784) chose to live there in destitution, after taking a vow of poverty. At no 4 is a chemist's shop, founded in 1683: Voltaire spent several months there on his return from exile in England.
