This museum, one of the largest in the US with a collection of over 1.4 million exhibits, is home to an exceptional collection of fossils, minerals and cultural artefacts, including the largest gold nugget ever found in Colorado. Other interesting exhibits include the Prehistoric Journey, a 3.5-billion-year timeline that depicts the history of life on earth, and Space Odyssey, which explores the cosmos and conditions on Mars. Other displays highlight the flora and fauna of the Rocky Mountains and the world at large.
