The name of this miniature town is a tribute to George Maduro, an officer who was deported to Dachau and killed in 1945. Intended for children, Madurodam City consists of models built on a scale of 1: 25, which bring together some of the country's most emblematic sites and landscapes: fields of flowers, windmills and famous monuments. Extended, Madurodam now features contemporary buildings, with trains, cars and buses and at night, the town is illuminated.
