Henry Ford transferred more than 90 historic buildings from all over the country to his idealised educational village. Among the buildings designed to illustrate the work of famous people are Ford's own humble birthplace; the Wright Brothers' home and the Dayton (Ohio) workshop, in which they perfected the airplane that made the first successful flight in history.
