Route to the north and synonymous with adventure, the Alaska Highway unfurls in a land of mountains and lakes of whild beauty, dotted with small villages. It starts at the fertile plains of the region of Peace River (at the Alberta border), runs alongside the Rockies, crosses the Cassiar, comes close to the north of the Coast Mountains and St Elias Mountains, and ultimately reaches the "Last Frontier": Alaska.
