Sitting, standing, reclining: you will see some 157 statues of Buddha in every posture, of which the 30m/100ft-high gilded statue at the entrance to the site is far from the least. In the caves dug into the hillside, you can admire remarkable cave sculptures and paintings by Buddhists in the 18C. Cave N°2, in particular, has over 60 statues that line the walls, entirely adorned in colourful paintings.
