Hewn by the River Var through red schist, dotted with a patchwork of pink, white and green vegetation, the Daluis Gorges, a Regional Nature Reserve, are of unparalleled depth, fierceness and colour. The overhanging walkway commands fine views of the gorges, especially on a sunny late afternoon. Popular with bungee jumpers, Mariée Bridge boldly spans the gorges.
