The National Museum of Archaeology showcases the Treasure of Hera Lacinia, found in the sanctuary at Cape Colonna, in particular a magnificent gold diadem and three bronzes of a sphinx, a mermaid and a gorgon (6C BC). These pieces are considered to be of primordial importance by archaeologists.
