The top of the hill (122m), near the Beaux Monts viewpoint signpost, is the end of the vista laid out along a corridor in the woodland from the château 5km away. This opening was created by Napoleon I, who wanted to remind Empress Marie-Louise of the view of Schönbrunn Palace, near Vienna in Austria.
