Playhouse Square is the largest performing arts centre outside New York City. Its five restored early-20C theaters - Allen, State, Ohio Palace and Hanna - stage ballet, opera and Broadway productions. The renovation of Playhouse Square signalled the regeneration of Euclid Avenue, and the surrounding pedestrian areas abound with trendy restaurants, shops and galleries.
