Built in the 12C and 13C, Notre-Dame cathedral was remodelled following a fire in 1811. Inside, the raised chancel contains a fine Gothic triptych on the main altar from the 15C; made of gilded wood, it is the largest of its kind in Switzerland. Four statues of the apostles (13C) frame the altar beneath the chancel.
