Situated in a magnificent setting, the Adler Planetarium boasts stunning views of the lake. The oldest planetarium in the country, it is also renowned for its fine collection of historic astronomical instruments and its splendid sky shows. A major renovation in 1999 added 5 500 m2/60 000 sq ft of wraparound exhibit space that enclosed two-thirds of the old Art Deco building in glass.
