The woodland part of the park is made up of remarkable trees planted between 1820 and 1870 by Paul de Vibraye. The Allee des Géants, which you can cross in an electric car, is lined for more than 800 m by 157 Lebanese and Atlas cedars, accompanied by giant redwoods and Laricio pines. You can then take an electric boat to discover the 1,700 m long canal and the River Courtin. Among the woodland species, look out for the famous bald cypress with elephant's feet, originally from Louisiana.
