On the edge of Huanhuaxi Park, the Sichuan Museum was built in 2009. Over 12 intelligently laid-out galleries, it offers an overview of the province's history, art and culture. Since it was founded in the 1940s, the museum has assembled a collection of almost 300 000 artefacts: ceramics, bronze and terracotta pieces, monumental sculpture, religious statues, jade pieces etc. An exceptional collection.
