This area was once Cavaillon's Jewish ghetto. The synagogue on Rue Hébraïque houses the regional Jewish Museum. Little differentiates the exterior from that of other buildings - papal law decreed that Jewish cultural buildings should remain invisible in towns and cities, so all the magnificent decor was concentrated on the inside.
