The Mueso de Arte Moderno occupies one of Cartagena's former customs house buildings as well as the warehouses that were attached to it at the end of the 19C. Its permanent collection presents works by Colombian and Latin American artists from the 1950s to the present day as well as temporary exhibitions devoted to contemporary visual artists. Iron sculptures by Edgardo Carmona adorn the little pedestrian street opposite the museum.
