The Fine Arts Museum occupies a colossal neo-Classical building fronted by a portico with eight Corinthian columns of Greek inspiration. In an enlarged exhibition space, the collection of Hungarian Old Masters (from the Middle Ages to the late 18C), masterpieces of European painting from the 13C to 19C, as well as Greek and Roman antiquities and 20C and contemporary art are displayed. There is also a section devoted to European sculpture.
