This Wallachian-style brick monastery (1715) miraculously survived the Ceausescu era's demolition programmes. The ornamentation of its façade, a delicate lacework of stone, is in stark contrast to the concrete buildings nearby. Inside, don't miss the woodwork and stone iconostasis, attributed to the great theologian Antim Ivireanu, founder of this monastery.
