Mention has been found of this awe-inspiring fortress as early as the 10C. Enjoy the fine view across the entire Brioude region from the promontory. Flanked by three towers and a keep built in 1160, the castle was remodelled in the 15C and 19C. Damaged by fire in 2013, it is undergoing restoration.
