Cité radieuse of Briey

Monumento civil e militar
A opinião do Guia Michelin
Le Corbusier and André Wogenscky selected the wooded site of Briey-la-Forêt to implement their project to combine architecture and nature. In this location, the development was intended to house around 2,000 people and included 60 individual flats as well as a 17-storey "housing unit" with 339 homes. Inaugurated in 1961, threatened with destruction in 1984, the Cité radieuse is once again inhabited. Some of the communal spaces and a show flat, renovated as it would have been in 1960, enable visitors to understand the internal organisation of this housing estate.
