On leaving Écot, the climb up to the Evettes Refuge (2,629m/8,625ft above sea level) may seem steep but is well worth the effort. At the top, the most daring hikers can savour a magnificent panorama across the Evettes and Albaron Glaciers. From the refuge, it is possible to continue along a roped path to Reculaz waterfall!
