13km from Barnstaple, this Classic-style residence (1820-1823, remodelled in 1869) houses a collection of objets d'art. The main attraction is the collection of model boats, 36 of which were built by Napoleonic prisoners of war. The Carriage Museum is also home to some fine exhibits.
