2km outside of Baracoa, a track heads off from the main road beyond the sign for Finca Duaba. After 400m, the left fork leads to the foot of El Yunque, the flat-topped mountain which overlooks the town. Although the lack of shade can make the climb difficult, hikers can cool off with a lovely dip in the clear waters of a fast-flowing stream.
