Since 2019, this handsome neoclassical building has housed one of the world's richest collections of modern art, assembled by Elise and Basile Goulandris, a wealthy couple of shipowners who also own a museum of modern art on the island of Andros. Most of the great names in modern Western painting are here: Cézanne, Monet, Van Gogh, Chagall, Miró, Picasso and Pollock, as well as the best Greek artists of the 20th century. Not to be missed!
