Lac d'Orédon, a dam lake located at an altitude of 1 850m, occupies a basin with scree slopes hidden by fir trees. Around the lake, the richness of the Neouvielle National Nature Reserve, a designated area to protect flora and fauna, is matched only by the beauty of the calm blue waters. Lake Orédon is a base for mountain tourism (chalet-hotel) and the starting point for several great hikes. On site, the Maison de la Réserve de Néouvielle provides information about the site.
