The picture-postcard town of Molyvos turns out to be lively and full of authentic charm. Poets and artists have come here through the ages. A 14C Genoese citadel perches above the waves atop a pointy hill, offering a grandiose panoramic view. The Ottoman houses with their red-tiled roofs cling to the side of the hill. Four kilometres to the northeast of Molyvos, beyond the beach at Eftalou, there is a thermal spring. The very hot water is collected in a pool set up in the middle of the beach.
