The highest point in Pilat, the crêt de la Perdrix is crowned by a chirat, a geological formation found only in the Appalachians in North America. From the viewing platform, the panorama is breathtaking, stretching 360° towards the Forez and Lyonnais mountains, the Rhône valley and the Alps in the background, the Ventoux, the Ardèche and the Massif Central.
