From the summit of Brézouard, which gives its name to the type of gravel it's made of, the panorama is vast: to the north, Champ du Feu, Climont and Donon in the distance, to the northeast, Strasbourg, to the south, Hohneck and Grand Ballon. Mont Blanc comes into view on a clear day. Le Brézouard and the surrounding area were key battlefields in the 1914-1918 war (trenches and shelters).
