Alt. 2,755 m. From this pass, where a refuge has been set up, there is a superb view of the Bernina massif. If you're feeling more sporty, you can continue on to the Coaz refuge. You can walk back down to Surlej in 3.5 hours via the Hahnensee lake. The descent is very rocky, with views of the lakes of Sils, Silvaplana, Champfer and St. Moritz.
