This spectacular drive skirts Molokai's mountains on one side and the Pacific Ocean on the other. Heading east from Kaunakakai, you'll quickly reach Kakahaia Beach Park, a wildlife refuge that's a haven for local birds. The winding road gets gorgeous after mile marker 20. The road heads inland, and after a series of wild twists and hill climbs, emerges at Halawa Valley, Molokai's most breathtaking spot, set off by green hillsides and sparkling waterfalls.
