Access is through the narrow, characterful cobbled lanes of Piran’s historic centre. Outside, a handful of tables look directly onto the alleyway; inside, the atmosphere is intimate and lively, with views into the open kitchen. The gastronomic proposal ranges across land and sea, alternating between Italian-inspired recipes and others more firmly rooted in local tradition. Among the highlights are the fuži with Istrian black truffle, coated in a soft buttery sauce, and the pan-fried octopus, carefully seasoned and cooked. For meat lovers, there is also a classic rib-eye served with mashed potato and red wine sauce. Although not especially extensive, the wine list offers the advantage of making almost every label available by the glass. To secure one of the outdoor tables, advance booking is strongly recommended.
