Surrounded by the town wall, the Amtshaus hotel boasts a lovely location in Freinsheim's old town, which is well worth a visit. The courtyard with its idyllic terrace leads to this chic restaurant, which is distinguished by its white cross vaults supported by columns. Chef Swen Bultmann cooks classic French dishes made from fine ingredients and inspired by the seasons. Diners can choose between a three- to six-course menu (vegetarian version available) or order à la carte. The food is accompanied by a well-curated and extensive selection of wines. An appealing and reasonably priced set menu is served at lunchtime. There are also tastefully appointed guestrooms – as in the restaurant, the decor harmoniously incorporates modern design into the historical setting.
