Reminiscent of an Italian villa, this is the oldest and best preserved Folly of Montpellier and its splendid gardens and wine-growing estate have belonged to the same family for ten generations. Built by Étienne de Flaugergues, a Montpellier banker, the castle boasts a monumental staircase decorated with Brussels tapestries (the life of Moses), lovely antique furniture and old paintings.
