Jemäa Fadhloun

This white mosque, known as Jemäa Fadhloun, is an interesting example of a Wahhabi religious complex. The mosque is preceded by several rooms, including a mausoleum in the left hand corner of the complex, which is immediately followed by a room used for ablutions. The water collected by the wide impluvium opposite once filled the water tanks. A little further on, an opening in the wall leads into the courtyard of the mosque, which is a dazzling white colour. The square prayer hall has four pillars. To the right, staircases lead up to the minaret.
